I’m so excited to be taking part in Easter Readathon this weekend! This is a readathon set up by Kate @ Reading Through Infinity, taking place from the 2nd to 5th April over the Easter weekend. Below are the prompts and the books I am considering reading for each prompt, including some that I have decided I definitely want to read!
- Read a book that gives you spring vibes
I’ve looked through my physical books and I only have one book that gives me spring vibes, which is Mr Loverman by Bernadine Evaristo. I also have an ebook of All the Lonely People by Mike Gayle which has a bright yellow cover.
I’ve also looked through the audiobooks on my library app and found a book which gave me serious spring vibes from the cover – It is Wood, It is Stone by Gabriella Burnham. I have reserved it but the date that it will be available is after the readathon. However, it might become available earlier and if it does then I plan to read it for the readathon. If not, I’ll be reading Mr Loverman or All the Lonely People.
2. Read a book about new beginnings
This was a tough one! I’ve gone through my physical books, audiobooks and ebooks, and nothing is really suggesting to me that it is about new beginnings. So I’ve decided not to go for this prompt, but I’ll be trying to hit all the others!
3. Read a book that’s under 250 pages
I have two options for this: The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead, and the ebook of We Have Always Been Here by Samra Habib. I think I’m going to go with The Nickel Boys as I have a physical copy and it’s 200 pages so I’ll definitely be able to read it over the weekend!
4. Read a book with a pastel cover
I have several options for this – Mr Loverman by Bernadine Evaristo, My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell, and Landline by Rainbow Rowell. I’ve decided to go with Landline, and my current plan is to start reading this a couple of days before the readathon and hopefully finish it on the Friday!
So my current TBR is looking like the books below, but I have some alternate choices if I do change my mind or if an audiobook becomes available sooner than expected! Let me know if you are taking part and what you are planning on reading!
